Las Vegas Valley Water District

Facilities

Solar panels

Solar array panels at the Springs Preserve produce electricity.

The Las Vegas Valley Water District delivery system consists of several different types of facilities. Our pumping stations push water around the valley, our reservoirs store water and our Distributed Solar Array generates emissions-free electricity for some of our facilities.

Water District facilities include:

  • 36 reservoirs and tanks with more than 800 million gallon storage capacity
  • 51 pumping stations
  • 76 production wells capable of producing 175 million gallons of water per day
  • More than 4,100 miles of water transmission pipelines
  • 7 facilities generate electricity from on-site solar array panels

Our service area includes metro Las Vegas, areas of unincorporated Clark County, Blue Diamond, Coyote Springs, Jean, Kyle Canyon, Laughlin (Big Bend Water District), and Searchlight.
