The Las Vegas Valley Water District (LVVWD) Purchasing Division holds events throughout the year to help vendors learn about the purchasing process at LVVWD.

Vendor Outreach
Our efforts to seek innovative, environmentally conscious business professionals include a variety of community outreach activities.
Our efforts include:
- Conducting quarterly outreach seminars to let diverse businesses know what we're doing and how to start doing business with us
- Participating in public efforts to assist small or disadvantaged businesses such as the Nevada Minority Business Council, and the Latin, Asian and Urban Chambers of Commerce
- Hosting an annual Supplier Diversity Fair where businesses can attend seminars, meet buyers and end-user customers
- Hosting an annual Contractors Diversity Event bringing Prime Contractors, sub-contractors and additional resources together for discussions and networking
- Minimizing bonding and insurance requirements, while still protecting the district from liability
- Establishing a clearinghouse for small, minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business searches, availability, referrals and information
- Networking with other organizations to implement best practices and share referrals and success stories
