Big Bend Treatment
Water that enters the Big Bend Water District treatment plant undergoes a process called ozone disinfection or ozonation. This process is effective in the removal of pathogens such as cryptosporidium.
Other treatment steps in our facility include chemical coagulation, direct filtration and corrosion control of lead and copper and sodium hypochlorite. View the Big Bend Water Quality Report for more information.
